    The Academy of Art University

    For nearly a century, The Academy of Art University has been providing San Francisco’s art-starved populace with free artistic training.

    Located on one of the Bay Area’s most beautiful campuses, students enjoy access to state-of-the-art facilities for their studies and can take advantage of nearly 200 scholarships.

    Founded in 1907 as an all women’s college, The Academy now offers degree programs in fine arts, graphic design, interior architecture and design and digital arts.

    Fort Valley State University

    Southern Polytechnic State University

    If you’re looking for a great military college, you might want to consider Southern Polytechnic State University. The school offers various degrees through its College of Engineering and Computing, including bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering, computer information systems and mechanical engineering.

    You’ll also find associate’s degrees and certificates in STEM fields like aviation technology or criminal justice. Located in Marietta, Ga.,

    Southern Polytechnic is home to more than 10,000 students.

    Central Georgia Technical College

    While Central Tech might be a new name to you, it’s certainly not to military students and veterans.

    Established in 1911 as a way to help train soldiers during World War I, Central Tech has been providing career-focused education for soldiers and civilians alike for more than 100 years.

    In fact, just recently (in 2016), President Obama signed legislation naming Central Tech a Yellow Ribbon Program school making it one of only five schools in Georgia to hold that title.

    As part of its continuing efforts to support military education, Central Tech also offers college credit for military experience as well as free tuition on every anniversary of service members who died while serving their country.

    Savannah Technical College

    The oldest of these five military colleges, Savannah Technical College traces its origins back to 1787 when its forerunner, Savannah Academy was established.

    It is currently part of a statewide network of technical schools overseen by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG).

    It offers a range of associate degree and certificate programs to more than 7,500 students.

    Its campus is located just east of downtown Savannah in Hunter Army Airfield. Amongst its most popular courses are welding and HVAC technology.
